It’s baby time!

Thursday was my last day at work before starting maternity leave. I was made a fuss of by my colleagues and it seems like every client knew it was my last day. On my last afternoon, I was on my knees, head upside down trying to examine a dog’s testicles for a new lump that had formed. The owner thought this was highly entertaining given testicles had played their part in getting me into my pregnant state. Another owner, who’s cat I was sadly having to put to sleep, commented that she was very sorry I was having to do this on my last day but that it was nice that I was leaving to bring new life into the world as her cat’s life was ending. A very nice way of looking at it!

Given I won’t have any stories for a while, I will not be posting for the foreseeable future. Now I get to decide if one of my clients was correct is saying she found it easier to raise a baby than her very unruly puppy…!
